Mirriam-Websters Online defines a "gamer" as: a player who is game; especially : an athlete who relishes competition.

This is not exactly the modern day definition of the word, but it shows much similarity. A "gamer" is a person who enjoys competition, not only in board games, but also in online, computer, role playing, and card games.

I have been a "gamer" for a very long time, and have found a lot of entertainment in all types of games. The most immersive are the online games and communities that I have visited in cyberspace. I have listed some of the worlds I visit as well as many console/computer games and game companies that I enjoy.
